Fit-wise, they're roomy through the thigh and tapered through the ankle, with a regular rise in the front and back. But their best feature is probably their versatility. Cuff the hems for a little mid-morning ventilation. And when the afternoon sun hits, the zip-off legs convert them into mid-thigh shorts. Then come evening, you can wear them as pants again. And if you're worried about losing the removable parts, don't worry! They come with a pouch to store them. Finally, the water-repellent finish will protect you from light showers.
