Designed for cross-country mountain touring, the Atomic Backland 95 is a versatile ski that offers the perfect balance of lightness, uphill efficiency and stability underfoot, for confidently descending the slopes that caught your eye uphill . A reinterpretation of the original Backland, the new ski construction significantly reduces CO2 emissions by 30% through the use of locally sourced poplar wood, reduced use of fiberglass and resin, and sidewalls producing less waste. The result is a design with low environmental impact for a lighter, more durable ski with more sensational performance. The all-mountain profile uses a new natural wood to fiberglass ratio to modify the thickness curve of the ski and add torsional rigidity, resulting in improved climbing and optimized downhill performance on harder snow surfaces. HRZN 3D – the next generation successor to the original HRZN Tech – features a unique three-dimensional beveled tip that further improves float in powder and maneuverability in variable snow conditions. For the ultimate hiking setup, choose a matching Atomic PreFit skin.
